Big Lady

Sammy reported in at 30 pounds and just over 34 inches this morning at her 18-month appointment.

She was more than happy to accept a lollipop for her tearless immunization! While Sam certainly takes after her father in many ways (for instance, she likes to wear dresses) - we all know she gets her toughness from me!

Sunday Best

Sammy brightened an otherwise dreary and rainy morning with her new $68 dress, made even more beautiful by it's sale price of $18!

Bad Gnus

A fond farewell to our trusty Sony DCR-SR200. Fifteen months of capturing Bubs' development from infant to young toddlerhood has taken an unwarrantied toll on Sony. Jeff and I will crunch the numbers to decide when and what will replace him in the coming weeks. Were it nearer to Christmas, I would request Best Buy gift cards. Instead, I will implicitly request Best Buy gift cards by joking about how I would explicitly request them if only it were nearer to Christmas.

In the meantime, Nikon Coolpix 3100 will resume duty in a stills-only capacity.

This short video clip will show the first and last videos taken on Sony. Feel free to make music video song requests in the comments!

Lucky You!

Twinkies!

Still sick over here. Video release pushed back to Monday. Blame the writers' strike.

Back Too Soon!

We had to cut our Orlando trip a couple of days short due to illness (mine and Jeff's). But not before a whirlwind adventure filled with Elmo and dolphins and pooping goats. Sam had a great trip with her travel buddy Ben! Here are a very few pictures of the festivities - I will have video NLT Saturday.

Loyal B&C readers may recall that Sam and Ben met almost one year ago on their first trip to Atlanta.

Here is Sam striking a pose and ready for her first trip to Seaworld:

Waiting in line to meet Elmo (an exciting moment that I'll save for the video):

Sam and Ben waiting patiently on the Animal Kingdom African Safari ride. Ben favored the giraffes, while Sam preferred the baby gazelle.

Ben and Sam strokin' some goats. Ben was kind enough to explain to Sam that while those little nuggets coming out of the goat's butt looked like raisins, they were not edible.

Not a Good Start!

Today is the first day of fall practice for America's Team, and Sammy has a cold! However, earlier in the week we emphasized the colors blue and gold.

After getting caught on the rain on our Bike coming back from the gym, we warmed up with some Sesame Street and goldfish crackers.

We began the day with a wholesome blue and gold breakfast!

And finally, Sammy's game day gear came in - including an upgrade from last season - gold pants!

Here she is showing her game face.

And here she's imitating Jimmy Clausen running for his life after another breakdown on the offensive line. She really retained a lot from last season!

Go Irish!

We'll be in Orlando next week - so check back for an update in about ten days!
